iglidur® H | High temperature and chemical resistance
iglidur® H is a fibre-reinforced thermoplastic material that was specially developed for applications in high humidity or under water. iglidur® H can be used completely free of lubrication; in wet applications, the surrounding media acts as additional lubricant. Suitable for temperatures up to +200°C. Very low coefficient of friction when used with hardened shafts.

Selective laser sintering (SLS) material: iglidur i6
The iglidur i6 material was designed for laser sintering and was especially developed for manufacturing worm wheels for the food &amp; packaging industry. The tests in the igus test laboratory showed a longer service life than for conventionally milled gears - e.g. POM. This significantly increases flexibility in the design of components, because the laser sintering process eliminates the need for tooling and therefore special parts can be manufactured efficiently with no minimum order quantity. Furthermore, iglidur i6 is ideal for snap-on connections due to the higher elongation at break.

When do I use it?

When a food grade material is required
For applications with sliding motion, especially for worm gears
If a white base material is required for subsequent colouring

When an optically detectable material in blue colour is required (→ iglidur i6-BLUE)

iglidur M260 was specially developed for use in harsh environments. In addition, care was taken during development to be able to use the material particularly well for injection-molded thick-walled bearings. This makes iglidur M260 particularly suitable for applications in which thick-walled bushings are to be used or replaced that are also as robust as possible.



With DIN EN 45545, the new iglidur RW250 material fulfills the strict fire protection requirements of railroad technology. In addition, the material formulation has been optimized for absolute wear resistance and offers very good running properties in many applications.  


iglidur® M250 | The robust all-rounder with outstanding vibration damping
The self-lubricating material iglidur® M250 is particularly characterized by impact strength, vibration damping and wear resistance. The laser sintering powder iglidur i9-ESD has a electrical resistance of 10^6 to 10^9 Ohm. This makes it electrostatically dissipative (ESD), and at the same time reduces the risk of unwanted discharge currents between sensitive, electrical components. This makes it ideal for applications in the electronics and semiconductor industries, and especially for electronic connectors.

When antistatic components with medium conductivity are needed

When components with high stiffness are required

Fire-retardant high-temperature filament, ideal for the railway industry
iglidur RW370 is an abrasion-resistant, high-temperature tribofilament which was specifically developed for use in railway vehicles. As such, its fire-retardant specifications conform to UL94-V0 and EN45545. In addition, it has the maximum mechanical strength of all tribofilaments and a long-term temperature resistance of 170 °C, which makes it the material of choice for high-temperature applications.

Furthermore, it can be used for printing stable structural components. Thanks to the high strength and high rigidity, as well as its low density of 1.25g/cm³, igumid P190 is ideal for lightweight construction with low material requirements.

Selective laser sintering (SLS) material: iglidur i230
The iglidur i230 laser sintering powder stands out as another all-rounder material among the iglidur SLS materials. Unlike iglidur i3, however, it is designed for higher application temperatures and withstands long-term temperatures of up to 110 °C. Moreover, the material is 80 % more wear-resistant than PA12. Of all iglidur SLS materials, iglidur i230 offers the highest flexural strength and, in addtion, it has electrostatically dissipative (ESD) properties.
Good to know: iglidur i230 contains no PTFE and is therefore not affected by future PFAS regulations.

When to use it?

When a PFAS-free material is required
If the application temperature is above 80 °C in the long term and at a maximum of 110 °C
If components with high mechanical strength (also structural components) are required
If components with ESD properties are required up to 110 °C application temperature

When not to use it?

If components with higher wear resistance at max. 80 °C application temperature are required (→ iglidur i3)

Flexible and wear-resistant filament - iglidur i190
iglidur i190 is characterised by high wear resistance, as the material is enriched with solid lubricants. It can be processed on regular 3D printers, but a closed 3D printer is recommended. Due to its high wear resistance and excellent mechanical specifications (strength, toughness, coating adhesion), it is an all-round material that is suitable for most applications and 3D printers. Of all igus tribofilaments, only iglidur RW370 has a higher strength than iglidur i190. It can also withstand a long-term application temperature of up to 90 °C (after tempering the component).

When to use it?

For all types of applications where low friction and high wear resistance are important
When higher strengths are required

When not to use it?

If the application temperature is higher than 90 °C in the long term (→ iglidur J260 or iglidur RW370)

It was specifically developed for use in the food and packaging industry: the printed components are compliant to FDA and EU Regulation 10/2011 and the blue colour ensures the required optical detectability. iglidur i151 is also an all-rounder material, and due to its good mechanical properties (strength, toughness, layer adhesion) it is suitable for most applications. iglidur i151 has comparable mechanical specifications as iglidur i150, by far the most frequently used igus filament. There are restrictions in terms of the maximum permanent application temperature of 65°C and for highly dynamic applications.
