Our electric motors portfolio is led by maintenance-free and durable hybrid stepper motors. Here in the online shop, they are available in various sizes and can be expanded to include encoders, brakes and gearboxes. Stepper motors are particularly suitable for applications with high torque at low speeds. The product range is extended by cost-effective and quiet DC motors. DC motors can be operated without complex external power electronics, namely via a battery, motor control system or a power supply unit. It is also characterised by a particularly space-saving design. As a result, the DC motors are no longer dependent on the motor flange and coupling. And last but not least, EC motors, also known as brushless DC motors, complete the range of electric motors. The BLDC motors cover a wide speed range and have very good efficiency. They are therefore well suited for applications with fast and powerful movements. Since the motor cannot be commissioned alone, igus also offers motor control systems and other necessary components such as gearboxes and proximity switches.
