Seadrill relies on the e-loop in drilling vessels

Seadrill replaced its service loop with our e-loop on the West Polaris drilling vessel. The e-loop works like an exoskeleton that protects the hoses and cables inside. The latter are specifically designed for use in the e-loop: they are particularly flexible, bend-resistant and stretchable. This system increases the reliability and safety of the top drive. If a cable should ever break, it can be replaced within a short time, which saves time and money.

Advantages for customers

Less downtime: instead of having to replace the entire loop, individual cables can be replaced.

Greater safety: the e-loop reduces risks that would have arisen from the labour-intensive replacement of entire service loops

Operational efficiency: increased operational efficiency thanks to shorter maintenance times and fewer breakdowns
