Energy chains from igus already operate reliably in many hundreds of thousands of applications worldwide - from beverage vending machines to steelworks, from the simplest linear to the most complicated application with various models of installation types.

In Cologne, igus produces on a surface area of approx. 4,175 m2 harnessed chainflex cables as well as ready-to-install harnessed readychain energy supply systems. With around 4,600 harnessed motor, servo, signal and encoder cables suitable for 24 manufacturer standards, igus is the No. 1 worldwide in harnessed cables for use in energy chains.
1,600 individually harnessed readychain systems leave our factory every week. Out of 4,175 employees worldwide, we employ 359 employees specifically for harnessing.

With harnessed readycable and readychain systems, your warehousing and scheduling of cables, chains and plug-in connectors is reduced to a minimum and at the same time the number of your suppliers and orders is reduced by 75%. Our high-volume material procurement saves you time and money, regardless of volume applications or individual projects.

How is the unique igus quality ensured?


In the readycable factory, internationally identical testing and documentation methods are used to meet the company's existing standards and lean methods. All produced ready-to-connect readycable units undergo a 100% digital test in their own test facility. Subsequently, the drive cables marked with the test seal are sent to the customer by the fastest possible means.All employees are trained at the headquarters in Cologne in order to be able to guarantee consistently high quality at your production site later on.

All components of the readychain undergo extensive quality control and functional testing

Our quality assurance checks every readychain system for function with special testing facilities before they are shipped. All readychain systems and components are tested in the igus laboratory.

More than 2000 tests are conducted on e-chains and cables each year. With an igus system guarantee (depending on the application), we guarantee the safety and quality of your readychain.
